A dog’s world is all about what’s happening to them right there and then. Scruffy to Fluffy Dog Spa has been designed to enhance your dog’s spa experience and support their wellbeing – from our unforgettable dog friendly colour scheme, the top of the range equipment we’ve invested in and, our carefully selected range of high quality products that are gentle yet effective.

As a pawrent myself I know that your dog’s safety is a top priority for you. Your beloved dog will be cared for in a modern, clean, secure and comfortable environment. Each and every dog will be treated with kindness, patience and, given lots of positive reinforcement, as well as some cuddles along the way. Whilst in my care every dog will receive my undivided attention and they will have exclusive use of the spa. During a spa session the doors are closed so neither myself or your dog are distracted or disrupted by other customers, other dogs or, the outside world. All appointments are generously timed, enabling me to provide an attentive and bespoke service, during which your dog is not rushed and therefore less stressed. Every dog has individuals needs and preferences, so they will be able to take breaks to rest or play when they need to; they will always have access to fresh water to stay hydrated; they’ll have plenty of cuddles and (with your agreement of course) a few healthy treats too! I do not crate dogs and I never cage dry dogs.. At the end of their session they will be able to rest or play whilst waiting excitedly for you to take them home.

Before you entrust your dog into my care let me tell you a little bit more about myself. My name is Olivia and I am a local girl. I previously attended Ysgol Cwm Brombil and then Pencoed College. I am a dog lover, a Dog Grooming Professional and, the proud owner of Scruffy to Fluffy Dog Spa. I’ve grown up in a dog loving family with Border Collies and Shi Tzus. I love being a pawrent to my fabulous Red Miniature Poodle called Ted (spot him in my logo!).

I have always wanted to be a dog groomer and I’ve been working towards this goal for the last two years. Dog grooming in the UK is not currently a licensed profession. I have chosen to undertake relevant Ofqual recognised qualifications : Level 2 City and Guilds Certificate in Animal care and, AIM Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming. I also have hands on industry experience from working as a Dog Grooming Assistant in a well established local salon and, training in a professional academy and busy salon in the Vale of Glamorgan. I have completed the required “Emergency First Aid for Dogs” course and I have both Canine and Human First Aid kits onsite. For your assurance Scruffy to Fluffy Dog Spa is fully insured and I’m also DBS checked.

I am so excited to be opening my new business in Taibach, Port Talbot. I have developed my business plan with Business Wales and NPTCBC, who have not only supported me with grants but have truly believed in me and my business’s potential. I am so grateful and also very determined to make this a success. With your support I hope that Scruffy to Fluffy Dog Spa can contribute to growing the small but wonderful business community in Taibach and, together we can do our bit to help secure the future prosperity of our steel town.
